Putting Your Book In Your Hands

This message is for the those who've written something and have always wanted to see it in print. I am offering to put that book in your hands. Maybe you've spent many years writing poems in your spare time but you've not tried to get them published. They just sit unread in a notebook. Maybe you wrote a novel once a upon a time but the finished produce rest unseen and collecting dust in your desk drawer (or on your computer's hard drive).

Did you write some essay in college that really meant something to you or maybe you've spent a lot of time working out the details of some idea or philosophy that you want to share with the world?

Maybe you have one of the following:

a collection of poems
a spiritual devotional
short stories
a novel
book on a nonfiction subject
a collection of essays
a history
a biography
and more

It is possible to get any of these things published RIGHT NOW. I can help you do it.

For a small amount of money I can take those loose pages or that word processor file and transform it in to a finished book. I can make a cover that fits your needs. I want to help you realize your dreams or share the thoughts or creative expressions of loved ones.

YOU ARE IN CONTROL

My services allow you to maintain total control over you book and it gives you the ability to print out as many (or as few) copies of your book as you want. I use a print-on-demand platform to make your books available through most online retailers starting with Amazon. Once your book is submitted to their online system, any sales you make will be delivered directly to your bank account.

When your book is published, my work is done. If you have future projects, you can request my services for those books or stories, but otherwise, you can do what you wish with your book. If you want a handful of copies for family and friends then you can print them and have them shipped. Your work stays in print for as long you want. You have total control.

MY SERVICES

What do I do? I take your written materials and either transcribe them to digital formats or take those word processor files and format them and typeset them print. In most cases, I can include minimal interior photos and illustrations. You must provide those materials.

I create a book cover design that fits the subject matter and genre of the work you've written. I aim to please and will share my ideas with you so you find just what you want.

In cases where  you wish to publish your work as an ebook, I can help you create accounts with the major vendors for ebook distribution available so that your works have the potential to reach readers around the world.

RATES

Right now, my rates are between $150-$350 based on length and complexity of the project. Each book is different and requires different inputs. I work closely with my clients to ensure that they get their money's work. These are very AFFORDABLE RATES and I am flexible with payment plan options available.

If you have a book or the makings of one, send me a message. I can help.

$150 Ebook Covers

I am happy to present my cover art gallery. I will be adding more covers as time permits, but I wanted to give everybody a good sampling of what I've been doing. If you didn't already know, I've done the cover art for all of my own ebooks and some print books too. I am promoting my ebook cover design services for awhile.

Right now covers are $150.00 each.

I will work from client suggestions until they are satisfied with the final design. For those who wish to purchase more than one I will discount further. If you buy one cover, I will throw in a second one for $50 off.

3 Covers for the price of 2.

If you buy three covers at the same time, I will give you the third cover ABSOLUTELY FREE. You pay only $300 for a $450 value.  Please contact me today. I want to help you find just the right cover for your ebook project. I look forward to hearing for you.

Sincerely,

Shaun Kilgore, The Indie Book Assistant

Want Your Book In Your Hands? I Can Help

Hello, I'm author and book designer, Shaun Kilgore. I established this site late last  year because I knew that there were authors out there who wrote their books but lacked the skill to see their book in print (or electronic edition).

What can I do for you?

1. Take that manuscript or those pages and transform them into a print-ready document.

2. Design a full-color, professional cover, both for print and for ebook editions

3. Help you setup accounts so you can maintain control of the distribution of your own books

All of my services are available on an individual basis, but I do have three packages that bundle them appropriately.

EBOOK ONLY - As the name implies, this bundle get you up and ready as a published ebook author

PRINT ONLY - If you prefer the feel of a paper book in your hands, then this is the bundle for you. I work with you to get your book ready for print.

ONE-STOP SHOP - This combines everything in my most comprehensive package.

My services have the do-it-yourselfer in mind, the sort of writers who just want to see their book in print and want to retain complete control over how their book is sold and promoted.

If you have questions or you are interested in my services, leave me a message.

Thanks.

The Purpose Of The Indie Book Assistant

We've entered a new era of publishing. Now more than ever, writers have the tools to leave behind traditional or legacy publishing and strike out on their own. Other writers, new to the publishing industry, can forego the long waits on query letters and submissions and take their writing careers into their own hands. The tools exist to help writers get their books available electronically and print in many of the same venues as the bigger, more established publishers

Now is a time when writers can take control of their careers and write the kind of books they want without waiting for approval from some committee. It's an exciting time. However, some writers--those that have just heard rumors about the new world of publishing--may not know much about formatting their own manuscripts, creating their own book covers, or formatting for eBooks. Many of the writers going this new movement have taken on the book preparation process themselves. They spend the time to learn photo editing, typesetting, and the rest. But others don't have the technical savvy to pull it off. Or they don't want to learn it. For this second group of writers, a host of flat-fee services have sprung up to help them.

The Indie Book Assistant is one of these providers. For flat fees you can choose from a selection of services or whole packages that will help prepare your finished manuscript for publication. If you need assistance getting started in electronic publication, we can help you. We will help you format and upload your eBook to three of the major channels for electronic distribution: Kindle Direct, PubIt (for the B&N Nook), and Smashwords (a distributor that gets your eBooks into Apple's iBooks, Kobo, and other platforms).
