Now more than ever, writers have the tools to leave behind traditional or legacy publishing and strike out on their own. Other writers, new to the publishing industry, can forego the long waits on query letters and submissions and take their writing careers into their own hands. The tools exist to help writers get their books available electronically and print in many of the same venues as the bigger, more established publishers

Now is a time when writers can take control of their careers and write the kind of books they want without waiting for approval from some committee. It's an exciting time. However, some writers--those that have just heard rumors about the new world of publishing--may not know much about formatting their own manuscripts, creating their own book covers, or formatting for eBooks. Many of the writers going this new movement have taken on the book preparation process themselves. They spend the time to learn photo editing, typesetting, and the rest. But others don't have the technical savvy to pull it off. Or they don't want to learn it. For this second group of writers, a host of flat-fee services have sprung up to help them.

The Indie Book Assistant is one of these providers. For flat fees you can choose from a selection of services or whole packages that will help prepare your finished manuscript for publication. If you need assistance getting started in electronic publication, we can help you. We will help you format and upload your eBook to three of the major channels for electronic distribution: Kindle Direct, PubIt (for the B&N Nook), and Smashwords (a distributor that gets your eBooks into Apple's iBooks, Kobo, and other platforms).
